The Queen's Own Rifles of Canada was the only allied
regiment to fully achieve it's D-Day objectives. Below are wartime pictures of the QOR and some personal accounts of
the men of this venerable regiment.

Cpl Lennox of 8 platoon, A Co., makes use of a captured MG-42 . Lennox was later promoted to Sergeant and was subsequently wounded on February 26, 1945.

Note the company in what veterans called, "Summer
Dress" order - no ties, black web belts inside belt loops
on pants. Also, note the 3rd Division boots and QOR
berets.
